With the Japanese government seeking to curtail its emission levels
at 25% by 2020, a major boost in the “green” sector has been fostered.
The exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight convention centre is a 3 day feast
with the latest gadgets in the sector that save, create
and store energy. The big companies are expanding their league in this
dimension. The big names include Fuji Xerox, Canon Inc., Nihon Michelin
Tire Co., Mitsubishi Motors Corp and the Overseas Environmental
Cooperation Centre, Japan. The products displayed
in this exhibition are directly associated with Home Energy Management
System which uses artificial intelligence techniques to emit zero carbon
dioxide throughout the entire home.
Eco-products cover various sectors including those of industrial
material, energies, finance, consumer goods and many more. The
exhibition tends to display latest in green technologies and aims to
transform the conventional know-how of people and will definitely chalk
out new business models that will go way ahead in solving
environmental specific problems to pave way for company mergers and
regional cooperation. The fair proceeds to mobilise 20,000 students in
Kanto region for school activity. The fair wants families and cooperates
to witness a low-carbon existence in near future.
Attractions
Apart from companies’ participation as individual models, area
fostering cooperative exhibits from different business fields, joint
displays by local government, chamber of commerce and
eco-business-related conferences, display from NGO, NPO and colleges
will be given a priority.
Theme-based displays exhibiting projects to
convey a low-carbon vision will be on for visitors. Sections for display
of future-tech, environmentally friendly technology and latest know-how
on the gadgets will be demonstrated too. A project in cooperation with
Companies and NPOs to communicate effectively and actively with the
guest will be setup too.
Lectures by leaders of major environmental
companies and debate sessions on the theme will take place in one of the
sections of the exhibition. The area will be enhanced with thematic
seminar projects.
