Our planet is in the grip of global warming and suffers ozone
depletion at an alarming rate. The Vancouver Sun Sustainable Living
Expo, celebrated in Western Canada is here to enlighten you on how to
make your environment. Their inspiring ideas and expert advice on
greening your home, office and playgrounds topped with free wine, food,
beer and coffee sampling make them Western Canada's largest green
consumer tradeshow and eco-marketplace. Cooking demonstrations with
Vancouver's top Green Table chefs, Free Wellness Spa offering yoga,
mini-massages, eco-makeovers, aromatherapy, daily fashion shows and an
Eco-Wedding showcase at the fashion zone and eco-educational activities
along with arts and crafts at the kid-zone are the major attractions.
Established in 2007, EPIC (officially known as Vancouver Sun Sustainable
Living Expo) is organised by GLOBE Foundation.
Location and getting
there
The exhibition is going to take place at the NEW Vancouver Convention
Centre which is located within a walking distance from most downtown
locations. You can take a bike down the Vancouver's bike routes to get
here. Emission free trolley buses, Coast Mountain Buses stop near the
centre. If you are heading here from Vancouver International Airport (YVR),
then choose the Canada line, the newest rapid transit line of Vancouver
that links YVR with downtown Vancouver and Richmond. If coming from
anywhere between Surrey and Vancouver, emission-free light rapid transit
system SkyTrain is a convenient option. Vancouver is connected to North
Shore via the ferry service SeaBus. The centre is near the Waterfront
Terminal and if possible, you can drive yourself here.
